We found out from Preston's school that he needs glasses so I took him to the eye doctor Friday and picked them out. He looks adorable, but I feel bad that he needs them so young. Didn't really have a choice with his parents both having them, so I guess it was inevitable.
The boys wondered why people need glasses and I explained that some peoples eyes aren't as strong. They asked how they make their eyes strong and I said eating you vegetables. I thought this would be a great plug for that since Preston hates to eat anything good for him. It backfired and on the way to the eye doctor the boys proceeded to tell me all the people they knew who don't eat their vegetables-the list consisted of anyone they knew with glasses. OOPS!

Great Weekend!
This weekend was so nice! Lance and I had all the kids together and they did extremely well. Very little fighting, but mostly the kids just did so many nice things for eachother. Rylee got Preston a chair so all the kids could sit at the counter; the girls were so sweet with Kelci; the girls helped the boys play on the computer; they watched movies togther and just plain got along. We did take them to see Shreck-the latest one-and all had a good time. Think we will leave Kelci next time though, she was a little rough.

Preston's Fortune
Fun in the backyard
Lance is really good with kids. All his friends kids like coming over to Lance's house to play. This was one of the reasons that I fell in love with him. He is so patient with them too. More patient than I am. He will take the time to teach them things. He took the boys out to let them ride the 4 wheeler and eventually taught Preston to drive it. They really enjoyed it. He even got me to learn how do drive it, but he kept the handheld control close by.
Makutu's Island
Marlie and I went to Makutu's Island with the girls a while back and Baeleigh was not shy of the camera at all. She is pretending to be under water in the first picture. Rylee would rather not stop playing to have her picture taken. I love Rylee's face in the one picture I did manage to get. She was so cute wanting to pose in front of everything. I had never been here before, but it was really something. It's an indoor jungle gym that can keep the kids busy for hours. It was fun and it really wears the kids out.
Baeleigh's Art
Baeleigh had to do a project for school and this was it. She made little figurines out of clay and decorated the box, I think it was supposed to be a pet shop or something. She worked so hard on it that we didn't want to throw it out, but didn't know quite where to put it. So we took a picture and retired it from its place on top of the fridge. She is really quite the artist and she loves animals. She even wants to save for her own farm.
Tracen Turns 4!
Tracen's 4th birthday was extremely simple-or thrown together last minute is more accurate. Life was crazy and he didn't really have friends so we kept it minimal. Just Annette, girls, us and one other family who lived down the street when we lived in AJ. He still felt special and had his moment. It was so unprepared though that we had to use matches as candles, not recommended. The kids thought it was cool though.
First Family Outing
This was our first outing as a family. We had all the kids for the day and tried to take them to the leaf and feather farm, but it was closed. We ended up just going to the park and playing tag and letting the kids play. It didn't take Baeleigh and Rylee long to fall in love with Kelci. They are really great mini moms to her. Kelci loves the attention and fuss over her.
